Elderly residents at the Good Samaritan Senior Citizens’ Home in Meriema, Kohima, actively lead local environmental initiatives. In collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, Nagaland and Senior Citizens Association of Nagaland (SCAN), 25 elderly residents led a major tree plantation drive under the statewide “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign and World Environment Day on 5th June 2026.
